How to Empty Trash on Samsung Galaxy Tablet
Are you running out of storage space on your Samsung Galaxy tablet? Don’t worry; you can easily empty the trash to free up some space. The trash on your tablet stores deleted files, photos, and documents temporarily before they are permanently removed. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to empty the trash on your Samsung Galaxy tablet.
Step 1: Access the App Drawer
First, you need to access the app drawer on your Samsung Galaxy tablet. You can do this by tapping the home button or swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Once the app drawer is open, you will see a list of all installed apps on your tablet.
Step 2: Open the Gallery App
Next, locate and tap the Gallery app icon. The Gallery app is where all your photos, videos, and other media files are stored. If you don’t see the Gallery app in the app drawer, you can also find it by searching for it in the search bar at the top of the app drawer.
Step 3: Navigate to the Trash Folder
Once you have opened the Gallery app, you will see a list of folders on the left-hand side of the screen. Scroll down and tap on the “Trash” folder. This is where all the deleted files and documents are stored temporarily.
Step 4: Select All Deleted Files
Inside the Trash folder, you will see all the deleted files and documents. To select all of them, tap the “Select” button at the top right corner of the screen. This will check all the files and documents in the trash folder.
Step 5: Empty the Trash
After selecting all the deleted files, tap the “Delete” button at the bottom of the screen. A confirmation dialog box will appear, asking you to confirm whether you want to delete the selected files permanently. Tap “OK” to confirm and delete the files from the trash.
Step 6: Check Storage Space
Once the files have been deleted, you can check your storage space to see if it has been freed up. Go to the Settings app on your tablet, tap “Device care,” and then tap “Storage.” You should see the available storage space has increased.
Now you know how to empty the trash on your Samsung Galaxy tablet. By following these simple steps, you can quickly free up space and keep your tablet running smoothly. Remember to regularly empty the trash to avoid running out of storage space in the future.
